Endane Estate, Kahawatte, staff photo. Taken to commemorate the opening of the drum withering factory on Madalagama Div, which was the first of its kind in Ceylon. A. Watt was the Superintendent (seated row - centre) and his wife Joyce took this picture, which was made into a commemorative postcard for the Central Province Ceylon Tea Company Ltd. The next image is a shot of the reverse side of the card which detailed the senior management of the company since its inception in 1897.
