THE WORMS REPORTS
Moritz Benedict Worms was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on 20 July 1805, the son of a Jewish merchant. His father, Benedict Moses Worms had married, in 1795, Jeannette, the eldest child of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, a rising banker who lived, like Worms in the Judengasse, the Frankfurt back-street to which the Jewish community was confined.
