Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Tea Trails, an upmarket boutique hotel brand said it had been placed in the US and UK ‘Gold list’ of the Condé Nast Traveler, an international travel publication.
Ceylon Tea Trails said it is the first Sri Lankan hotel to make enter the list.
“The Gold List is a chosen few of the best hotels in the world; authentic classics that have crafted their reputation over many years,” Malik Fernando, Managing Director, Resplendent Ceylon, which operates Ceylon Tea Trails said in a statement.
“Our bungalows in the hills are the first recipient of this recognition, and hope there will be many more in Sri Lanka in the years to come.”
Ceylon Tea Trails operates upmarket hotels in five restored historic tea planter residences, called bungalows in Sri Lanka’s hill country, 1,250 metres above sea level.
