    Married Winifred Mourya Goldwater in Devonport, Auckland NZ on 5 May 1933. Died in July 1937 in Battle, Sussex, England. No children from this marriage.

    In Fergussons 1880 directory Garden Watson is noted at this Estate, possibly with his brother D (David) Watson. They previoulsy managed Carragahatenne in Matale East.

    Ralston, a good friend and C.T.P. Co contemporary with whom I shared many a good memory and much "elbow exercise". We were co-SDs on Dewalakande c.1955 and neighbouring managers, c.1964, when he was manager of Somerset and I of Radella nextdoor.

    Mr. Fernando was born and grew up in Pallansena, a village north of Negombo, in the Western Province, beside the Ma Oya river. My ancestral village Boralessa is across the river, in the NWP. I believe he attended Maris Stella College, which my late father and, much later, I also attended. My father was older to Mr. Fernando by three yeras.
