Sri Lanka’s Tea Production for November showed a marginal increase of 0.78 MnKg from the corresponding period in 2019. However, cumulative production for the eleven months of the year has contracted by 28.32 MnKg Year-on-Year (YoY).
Latest tea production figures showed that November production reached 24.81 MnKg, whereas cumulative production for the eleven months was 249.90 MnKg compared to 278.23 MnKg in the same period in 2019.
Elevation wise analysis for November showed that Low-Grown has increased by 1.87 MnKg whereas High & Medium Growns decreased by 1.05 MnKg and 0.04 MnKg when compared to the same period of last year.
In October, the output totalled 23.4 MnKg, an increase of 2.1 million kgs when compared with the 21.2 MnKg recorded in October 2019.
