Mr. Niraj De Mel, Chairman of, Sri Lanka Tea Board said, the economic condition of the small tea plantation owners has increased due to the high price demand for tea in the tea auction.
He said, currently one kilogram of tea is sold at a price between Rs. 900 and Rs.1,600 in the auction.
